Reclaim Fuller, Thicker Hair Without Surgery or Downtime

Thinning hair changes more than your reflection. It can chip away at your confidence in meetings, in photos, even in everyday conversations. According to the American Hair Loss Association, women make up 40% of hair loss sufferers in the U.S., and roughly two-thirds of men will see noticeable thinning by age 35.
At Choosi Skin Face & Laser Spa in Cincinnati, OH, Dr. Tiffany Hall offers a nonsurgical, physician-led hair restoration treatment that pairs the Lutronic Ultra laser with PRP or exosome growth factors to stimulate real, measurable regrowth.

What Is Hair Restoration With the Lutronic Ultra® and Growth Factors?

Hair restoration at Choosi Skin Face & Laser Spa is a two-part, in-office treatment. First, the Lutronic Ultra laser delivers non-ablative fractional energy to the scalp, triggering the body’s wound-healing response. Then, a concentrated growth factor solution is applied to the treated area for deep absorption. The result is a treatment that stimulates regrowth from the inside out, with no surgery and no downtime.

How Does Hair Restoration Work?

The Lutronic Ultra uses a 1927nm fractional thulium laser to target the superficial layers of the scalp without ablating or breaking the skin’s surface. Instead of creating open wounds, the laser produces microscopic treatment zones of dehydrated tissue that dramatically increase the scalp’s ability to absorb topical serums. This non-ablative fractional approach means only a fraction of the tissue is treated per session, leaving surrounding areas intact and allowing for rapid healing. The controlled thermal energy also boosts blood circulation and collagen production around the hair follicles.
Once the laser portion is complete, Dr. Hall either injects platelet-rich plasma (PRP) drawn from your own blood or applies an exosome growth factor solution directly onto the treated scalp. Because your skin’s natural barrier has been temporarily bypassed, these concentrated growth factors penetrate far deeper than they would with topical application alone. The growth factors signal dormant follicles to reenter the active growth (anagen) phase, while the laser energy itself stimulates new blood vessel formation around the follicle bed.

What Can Hair Restoration Treat?

Thinning Crown or Hairline

Noticeable density loss at the crown or along the hairline is one of the earliest and most visible signs of hair loss in men and women. Hair restoration can address these high-impact areas to rebuild fullness where it matters most.

Diffuse Hair Thinning

Rather than losing hair in one spot, some people experience a gradual, all-over reduction in volume that makes hair look flat and sparse. This pattern is common in women and can be difficult to pinpoint without a professional evaluation.

Early-Stage Pattern Baldness

Male pattern baldness (Norwood II–IV) and female pattern hair loss (Ludwig I–II) are most responsive to treatment when addressed before follicles shut down entirely. Early intervention gives us the best chance of preserving and restoring density.

Post-Hormonal Hair Changes

Menopause, thyroid conditions and other hormonal imbalances frequently trigger or accelerate hair loss. As a board-certified OB/GYN, Dr. Hall understands these connections and also offers hormone replacement therapy for patients who need it.

Weakened or Fine Hair Shafts

Even hair that hasn’t fallen out can become progressively thinner, more brittle and lacking in body over time. These changes often happen so gradually that people don’t realize how much diameter and strength their strands have lost.

Poor Scalp Health

A dry, inflamed or poorly circulated scalp creates a hostile environment for hair growth. Conditions like seborrheic dermatitis, product buildup and chronic inflammation can all weaken follicle function and contribute to shedding.

What Are the Benefits of Hair Restoration?

Nonsurgical and Needle-Free (With Exosomes)

For patients who choose the exosome option, this treatment requires no needles, no blood draw and no incisions. PRP is also nonsurgical but does require a standard blood draw and a carefully placed injection in the scalp.

Minimal to Zero Downtime

Most clients return to normal activities the same day. There is no visible wound on the scalp, no bandaging and no prolonged recovery period.

Safe for All Skin Types and Hair Textures

The Lutronic Ultra’s 1927nm wavelength is non-ablative and safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types. Whether your hair is straight, wavy, curly or coiled, the treatment can be adjusted to your needs. The laser also features a specialized tip designed not to snag hair during treatment.

Two Growth Factor Options

Dr. Hall or another one of our hair restoration experts evaluates each patient individually to determine whether PRP or exosome growth factors will deliver the best results. PRP uses your body’s own platelets, while exosome therapy delivers a concentrated dose of regenerative signaling molecules derived from stem cells.
A 2023 systematic review in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology found that topical exosome applications showed significant increases in hair thickness and density, with no adverse reactions reported.

Results That Build Over Time

Hair growth is a gradual process. Many clients notice improved scalp health and early signs of regrowth within two to three months, with continued improvement over six to 12 months as new hair cycles through the growth phases.

What to Expect During Your Hair Restoration Session

Before Your Treatment

Arrive with clean, dry hair free of styling products. No topical anesthetic is typically needed since the treatment is well-tolerated. If you’re receiving PRP, a small blood sample will be drawn and processed before the laser portion begins.

During Your Session

Your provider moves the Lutronic Ultra handpiece along your treatment area, creating microchannels across your scalp. Most hair restoration patients describe a mild warming or tingling sensation. The laser portion takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.
Immediately after, the PRP is injected or the exosome growth factor solution is applied topically to your scalp and gently massaged in, allowing it to absorb through the freshly created channels.

After Your Treatment

You may notice mild redness on your scalp that typically fades within a day. There are no activity restrictions, and you can wash your hair the following day. Avoid heavy exercise or excessive sweating for 24 to 48 hours to allow the growth factors to fully absorb.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Most patients benefit from a series of six treatments spaced about four to eight weeks apart. Dr. Hall will create a treatment schedule during your consultation based on your goals, the extent of your hair loss, and the growth factor option you choose. Periodic maintenance sessions help sustain results long term.

When Will I See Results?

Hair regrowth is not instant. Improved scalp health and early signs of new growth often become visible within two to three months. Thicker, fuller-looking hair typically develops over six to 12 months as follicles cycle through the growth phases.

Is the Treatment Painful?

Most clients report little to no discomfort. The Lutronic Ultra delivers non-ablative energy, so there is no open wound or bleeding. You may feel warmth or a light tingling during the laser application, but it is generally very tolerable without an anesthetic.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Laser Hair Restoration?

This treatment works best for men and women with active hair follicles who are experiencing thinning, shedding or early-stage pattern baldness. It is ideal for those looking to improve hair density and quality without surgery. Patients with advanced baldness, where follicles are no longer active, may see limited results. A consultation at Choose Skin Face & Laser Spa will help us determine whether this treatment is appropriate for you.

Can Hair Restoration Be Combined With Other Treatments?

Yes. Some patients benefit from pairing hair restoration with hormone replacement therapy when hormonal imbalances contribute to hair loss. Dr. Hall’s background as a board-certified OB/GYN means she can evaluate the full picture and coordinate treatments through Choosi Skin’s Wellness & Vitality division.

How Long Do Results Last?

With periodic maintenance sessions, results can be sustained long term. After an initial treatment series, results can last 12 to 18 months or longer, but periodic touch-up sessions help preserve hair density indefinitely for most patients. Because hair loss is a progressive condition, ongoing care is recommended to maintain your gains.
